The wisteria house

A rare waterfront property

Built 1900

 117m + 20m garden studio

+ 60m attic +16m basement

1122m land / constructible

This ancient ‘Maison de maître’ from 1900, is ideally situated next to the boats, the beach and 1 min walk to the village center. 20 minutes from the airport and 10 min from tgv 3h30 to Paris. In the middle between Aix en Provence, Marseille, Arles and Avignon.

This 1900s stone house historically belonged to a family of olive oil merchants. With the water view from everywhere in the house and the specious 1122 m² garden, this is a rare gem. The 117 m² house has an additional independent 20 m² studio in the garden and a large 60 m² attic.

On the ground floor, a large living room with a fireplace, a kitchen-dining room, an utility room, and a toilet with a staircase leading down to a 16 m² basement. The ground floor is coupled with two entrances: the front terrace, overlooking the boats across from the house; and the back exit with stairs leading to the upper garden.

The house is floored with traditional ‘tomettes’ tiles and concrete tiles, traditional windows and iron motifs. The staircase leads to the 2nd floor with its 4 bedrooms, as well as a bathroom with toilets and doors to a small balcony with a view to the lake.

A large open-space attic covers the entire space of the house, currently used as 2 guest bedrooms.

The house’s roof was redone in 2007. A new heating system has been installed in 2017, with a large propane tank in the ground.

Accessed by its own private terrace, an independent studio in the garden is currently used as an Airbnb rental with a main room, a shower and toilets, a large mirror closet and a kitchen area with an income of more or less 8,500 a year.

The garden is spread on two levels, the second level accessible from two staircases (one on each side) has a magnificent view. The garden is dotted with fruit trees: Apricot, prunes, cherries, lemon and vegetable beds, with a constructed fire pit in the centre.

The house is covered with Wisteria bright violet flowers, That’s why it is referred to as ‘the Wisteria house’ by the village people.
