Gat's practice draws from reality, looking to represent the mechanisms that form it, rather than the appearances. Gat works mainly on canvas, papers and walls. Her work has been exhibited in France, New York, Tel Aviv and other European venues including London, Sweden, Italy, Brussels, etc.
Gat studied Theater Design at the TLV University and Fine Arts at the Midrasha University. Gat received the SACD Award in 2004. Moved to France in 2007, she received her studio from the village of Saint-Chamas in 2009 and have been working there since. In 2010, Gat started her curatorial blog LOOK&LISTEN that in 2013, was enlarged into a non-profit project.
